How to choose a cleaner

My experience in choosing the right house cleaner in London

If you saw my recent post "10 cleaning tips and tricks" you will know that I've been struggling to stay on top of the cleaning while i have been working from home. I decided to enlist the help of a domestic cleaner in London to help me and thought it would be useful to share how i choose the right company for me.

Reasons to use a professional cleaner

As most of us know, the typical house cleaner in London is very experienced. They are used to dealing with customers requests and helping with their daily routine. When using a professional cleaner they normally provide all of their own protective gear and materials needed to complete the job so you don't have to struggle finding the right supplies.

Throughout their career they learn specific knowledge so they should be able to help you remove that carpet stain that you're fed up of seeing for the past year, or maybe that stain on your table.

How to choose a cleaner

There are few questions you should ask yourself before contacting a cleaner.

  • What is your budget?
  • What type of service are you looking for?
  • Do you have any specific requirements?

Once you have answered these questions right them down on a piece of paper.  Now head over to google and search for whatever you are looking for e.g. House cleaner London.

Once you have opened a few tabs re-read your questions when looking at each company website. Do they match all of your requirements? Hopefully you will find at least a handful that do.

How to select the right cleaner for you

With the handful of cleaners remaining you need to search thoroughly through their website and ask yourself:

  • How long have they been in business?
  • Do they appear to be genuine?
  • Do they have accounts on social media? What are their followers/customers saying
  • Do they have reviews on independent sites
  • Do their employees have to take a legal check such as a DBS?

Choosing the right house cleaner in London Conclusion

After doing the above you should have at least one or two companies remaining. If they match all of the above criteria its just down to personal preference who you go with. Personally i picked the company who was the best communicator as that's something important to me. I would love to hear of the post helped you? Please let me know in the comments below!
